The Mary Lou Zeek Gallery is presenting their annual 100 Artists Show, benefiting CERF (Craft Emergency Relief Fund). The show is titled "Plate It Up" and artists were requested to make their version of a plate.
This is my donation "Miss Ohio", a ceramic piece finished in acrylic. The title comes from a Gillian Welch song.
Bidding ends February 18th, 2011.

The Morgan Glass Gallery invited me to make a piece for their teapot show. It's one of the few shows where they display works in all media, not just glass.
The piece on the left was purchased for a collection being assembled for a museum of nothing but teapots! |

The latest robot has a micro-chip that blinks lights to sounds, makes him look side to side and gently pulses his eyes on and off. More info on him can be found here. |

The new Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh is placing 7 pieces in their entrance corridor! The new hospital opens this spring. Pieces will be viewable from inside and from the street.

KEEN Foot ware Award |
March 08- My Robots and found object sculptures
have won a grant from KEEN Foot ware! The entries had to "..show
a personal connection with sustainability, positive environmental
change, and/or raise environmental awareness."
By the way, I've worn their shoes for years, they're great. |
